A Reconceituação Latino-americana na Ditadura Brasileira: a renovação do Serviço Social gaúcho / The Latin American Reconceptualization in the Brazilian Dictatorship: the renewal of the Social Work in the state of Rio Grande do Sul

Resumo: O artigo é fruto de pesquisa sobre o Movimento de Reconceituação Latino-Americano na Escola de Serviço Social de Porto Alegre. Discute a renovação do Serviço Social gaúcho no período ditatorial, evidenciando a constituição da vertente profissional denominada de "Reformismo Reconceituador". Aborda a caracterização dessa vertente, a qual incidiu na articulação do Movimento de Reconceituação, a partir da realização do I Seminário Latino-Americano em Porto Alegre (1965).

Abstract: The article is the result of research on the Latin American Reconciliation Movement in the School of Social Work of Porto Alegre. It discusses the renewal of the Gaucho Social Work in the dictatorial period, evidencing the constitution of the professional strand denominated as "Reconceptual Reformism". It addresses the characterization of this strand, which has affected the articulation of the Reconciliation Movement, starting from the I Latin American Seminar in Porto Alegre (1965).

Antecedentes da reconceituação latino-americana na escola de Porto Alegre-RS / Latin american reconceptualization antecedents in the school of Porto Alegre-RS

Este artigo apresenta resultados da pesquisa "Serviço Social, memória e reconceituação latino-americana: antecedentes e expressões na escola de Porto Alegre ­ RS". A metodologia utilizada foi a análise documental do acervo histórico da escola, englobando currículos, planos de disciplinas e categorização de 517 trabalhos de conclusão de curso, no período de 1948 a 1975. Pelos resultados, verifica-se que a influência do desenvolvimentismo na escola foi impulsionada pela realização de Seminários Internacionais em Porto Alegre, na década de 1950, intensificada no início da década de 1960, no quadro da conjuntura política do governo Leonel Brizola. No período que antecede a realização do I Seminário Latino-Americano de 1965, sediado nesta escola, verificam-se duas tendências de renovação profissional: estrutural-participativa, articulada pelo docente Seno Cornely, com influência do pensamento cepalino, da técnica de Seminários na mobilização de comunidades, integrando DC, planejamento e política social no âmbito do Departamento de Assistência Social; e pedagógico-cultural, vinculada ao movimento de Cultura Popular, articulada pelas docentes Lucia Castillo e Zilah Totta sob a influência da esquerda católica, articulada com a Secretaria de Cultura, e influência intelectual de Ernani Fiori.

This article presents results of the research "Social Service, memory and Latin American reconceptualization: antecedents and expressions in the school of Porto Alegre ­ RS". The methodology used was documentary analysis of school historical collection, encompassing the curricula, disciplinary plans and categorization of 517 completion of course works from 1948 to 1975. By the results it is verified that the influence of developmentalism in school was boosted by the realization of International Seminars in Porto Alegre in the 1950s, intensified in the early 1960s in context of Leonel Brizola's government political conjuncture. In the period leading up to the First Latin American Seminar of 1965, in this school, there are two tendencies of professional renewal, namely: the structural-participative, articulated by Seno Cornely, marked by ECLAC thought influence, by technical seminars in mobilization of communities, integrating DC, planning and social policy within Social Assistance Department; and pedagogical-cultural, linked to Popular Culture movement, articulated by Lucia Castillo and Zilah Totta influenced by the Catholic left, in articulation with Secretary of Culture, under intellectual influence of Ernani Fiori.

Questão social e serviço social: uma análise das produções dos periódicos da área / Social issues and social work: an analysis of the productions of the area's periodic

O artigo apresenta estudo sobre os Fundamentos do Serviço Social com base na teoria social marxista, situando a questão social como dimensão constitutiva dos Fundamentos. Ancora-se em pesquisa quanti-qualitativa que analisou as produções publicadas em 11 periódicos da área nas últimas duas décadas (1993 a 2013), conformando um banco de dados composto por 324 artigos que possuem descritores relacionados aos Fundamentos do Serviço Social. O material ora apresentado, estruturado a partir de recorte desse banco de dados, sistematiza análise da produção sobre questão social e Serviço Social publicada nos periódicos. Discute as principais teses da área sobre o tema e problematiza a centralidade da questão social na formação graduada e no trabalho do assistente social numa perspectiva crítico-dialética.

The article presents study on the Fundamentals of Social Work based on Marxist social theory, placing the social issue as constitutive dimension of the Foundations. It anchors in quanti-qualitative research that analyzed the productions published in 11 journals in the area in the last two decades (1993 to 2013), forming a database composed of 324 articles that have descriptors related to the Foundations of Social Work. The material presented here, structured from a cropping of this database, systematize analysis of the literature on social issue and Social Work issue published in journals. Discusses the main theses of the area on the subject and discusses the centrality of the social issue in graduate training and in the work of the social worker in a critical-dialectical perspective.
